It goes without saying your plants are amazing. My question comes from being a first time grower. I don’t see any insect munching on your leaves. Are you that lucky? I fret over the two girls I have, and wonder what is acceptable for leaf damage from critters/insects.

I do here and there but nothing major. My plants are loaded with spiders of all kinds a long with lady bugs etc. I don't use any insecticide organic or otherwise. My goal is to provide the plant with all the nutrition including silica to make the leaves stronger and more pest resistant. The tougher the leaf is to chew through ...The more likely the bug will move on faster.

P.s. I also feel by growing bigger plants with more branches the less detrimental it is if some leaves get munched on. Bugs are apart of the outdoors tho......

I can dig that philosophy, very cool. I will try and work in silica in my strategy next year.

What an awesome forum this is, where we can all help each other grow!
Along with silica try to be very proactive with your beneficial insects. I plan releasing lady bugs monthly into my garden.

And yes it is very amazing that we can learn from eachother. The reason I can grow like I do is because of this site

Fantastic Thread, my outdoor plants just started exploding last week. Got a cold spell on the Front Range here in Colorado, think that helped kick the budding into the next gear.

Hey thanks so much....and welcome! Some of my plants are way more behind and some are just a little.
I tried to plant it that way , hoping I would be able to take down 4 at a time in almost a staggers harvest. I didn't want the load of having all of them at once like I have done previously....lol what a headache :)

Seriously tho ...thanks for the kind words and I'm pretty excited to see this as well :)
