Looks like we only have a limited time left to debate secular humanism before god saves us from it, along with corruption and deceit. Apparently God needs to listen to us cry out in starvation for 40 days first, so we have a little time if there are any subjects you have been meaning to discuss.

And if god doesn't live up to his end, he'll make it up to you in the afterlife. I love the episode of Mr. Deity where he admits he doesn't answer prayers: 'There's really no incentive; if people pray to me and things go well, who gets the credit? Me! Right? But if they pray to me and things don't go well, who gets the blame? Not me, so it's all good. I'm going to mess with that?' Love it. Fuck it, here's the episode:

I love how religion and politics always find themselves in bed together. Or are they the same person..........

Gov't and religion are both the result of people seeking something outside of themselves to run their lives and give them direction and reassurance. It seems that people love their carefree childhoods so much that they keep searching for parenting throughout their lives. If you don't run your own life effectively, there's always someone ready to step in and do it for you for a very high price (like your freedom, money, independence and creativity)...

For sure,
I think religion (and gangs) are people who can't lead their own lives so they seek guidance or even control from an outside source which they can obey. Politics are people who need to be the controller and need power to feel worth something. Theres something very sadistic about politics and to be a follower i believe you must be a masochist of sorts.

^^ Yep. Politicians would never survive in a free market, they offer no values that anyone would voluntarily pay for...
