so I've found out that the local limit on prosecution is 5 plants. If you have 4 or less then they won't prosecute. They'll confiscate and fine, but otherwise you're golden.

But where does that leave me?

How would you grow if you had a limit on plants to 4 plants? Always keep two in the flowering room and clip two clones before you put them in to flower?

I still need to find out if this is a per house limit. I don't have the money for another house for Christ's sake, but maybe I can talk a buddy into growing some of his own with my guidance.
 
in my area the limit only counts mature adult females. but i think that can be crossed. i don't think i could have 100's of mothers and 1000's of clones. but when they call out plant count limits in my county it is for flowering plants only. this is medical laws. drug laws could be different.
 
yeah in my state 5 plants can either be a felony or a miisdomeanor with how the law is wrote. I harvested 1.1lbs from 5 plants last month.
But I believe if you have a freind grow some you will be fine as they would charge him for them doooh!
 
yeah faded I should have been more clear. This isn't a medical growing limit. They just don't prosecute small time growers.
 
If I was limited to only a couple of plants, I would grow them SCROG (screen of green)

You have to veg them longer, and train the stems under the screen, but you could spread 1 plant out to cover a 4x4 or even 5x5 foot area.

Sure, it may be a local limit, but what if they're state police, or worse yet, feds.

If it looks like a sure conviction, no one wants to throw it out.
 
Xenu, I understand what you're saying, but why not take advantage of a loophole offered by the most common source of busts for small growers?

I keep a low profile and sell nothing.

So if I ever get nailed it will be for someone knocking on the door because they want to sell some crap or because a cop is searching the area or because a plumber comes in to fix something and he notices my setup. Or it will be someone smelling my exhaust because I didn't change charcoal soon enough.

The feds could care less about a small, personal grow.

If I only had a two plant limit, I'd either grow like potroast said, in a SCROG style, OR ... I would grow giant plants. I know of one guy who grew one plant in a walk-in closet, under one 1000 watt HPS. Just for kicks, he decided to grow this one seperate from his regular grow area. He just wanted to see how much he could get. He was using one, five-gallon bucket with a bubbler in it and just vegged the hell out of it. It grew to fill the entlre closet and eventually yielded 2.5 pounds.

Wow!!! Time to convert the closet. I have an idea, I will pull all of the clothes out and put them in my grow box and use my closet for a new grow room. ;)

This is an excellent site which tells you the laws in your state. In Alaska you can have up to an ounce for personal use in your house!!! That means it is a dicriminalized law. A couple of states have them, but they don't let you have as much as an ounce and you still get fined. I envy you stoners in Alaska.

i'm gonna brag again. the county i live in allows me to have up to 3lbs of died manicured meds. this is with a script. the state and county will not prosecute me. i am allowed 30 mature adult female plants and my garden size may not exceed 10' x 10'. these are my LEGAL limits. with a dr.s recommendation.
 
it's a two-edged blade. I hate having to grow illegally, but I'm blessed with not being injured and needing the weed for medicine yet.

I've got friends that live close by and so I'm making a life of this place. But if they move(and they talk about it about once a year) I think I'll head up to Oregon or somewhere else where the government can stay the hell out of my bidness.
 
hey 420, could i ask where you found out about the limit in ur county? id like to look at my local laws and restrictions and see if its anything like that...
