Hi All,Out here in Sin City and starting my 4th grow with the new 12 plant MMJ Law in affect as of the first of the month. I am using a 12' X 12' Room with an adjustable height pipe on two pulleys anchored in the cieling so that I can raise or lower easily. My las4 4 grows were done with a 1k & a 750 watt MH for Veg and HPS to plower with 250 watt MH on the sides during flowering (really gets the little flowers on the bottom of the plant to a respectable size. going a little different. I got one of these "Y" Splitters that allow you to run 2 600 watt lamps on a 1k Ballast. The lamps I have are a Digilux & USHIO 600watt MH conversion bulbs with full Spectrum ,Standars 7200k with 30 % of Added reds supposed to work for both phases. I will use the 2 600s with 2' VHO on the sides as well. Now for the Million dollar question,Following is a cut and paste from a guy who claims huge power savings and increased volume yield as well as 25% faster with this proposed lighting schedule...Anybody,Would love to be able to do this but want to hear more than this person did it. It Says

The new light cycle I am trying out for VEG state is 12/5.5/1/5.5. That's 12 hrs light, 5.5 hrs dark, 1 hr light, 5.5 hrs dark. This is not meant to increased the rate of growth, but to create a stronger plant, thus producing better buds.

Not my work,I have attached the pic with his scheudle as it looks nice if in fact,that was the process used and those accurate pics. Anybody?? Vegas

If this is in fact true ,the reason youre saying this is that is has been commonly known that interruption your marijuana's grow cycle during veg & flower CAN have adverse affects and rumored to produce hermes. If you think about what is going on here After 12 hours Dark 5.5 hours to make use of sunlight received ,then while still not completely rested lights back on to get them back to have having their fill of sun then dark another 5.5 to take advantage of those stored sunlight goodies,then back to 12 on to get the plant back up to a full tank of photosynthesis.I am not a botanist and have no qualifications except in the lighting fields as knowing the most effective way to get the required nm 450/650 the two must haves ,do do it right you really need adding in a 620-630 nm &

Gas lighting will work with some strains, in veg certain plants are able to handle the on/off/on of gas lighting.
I regularly check my veg with a flashlight to see the "sleep state" of my plants.
Not gas lighting per say, I run 18/6.
From my current understanding it Should Never be done during flowering.
Even a few moments of light can fuck a flowering plant up.
 
So basically, they're turning on the light, just before the flowering hormone starts pumping....

I can see this working with those 24 hour ruderalis strains.. but, hermaphroditing everything else.
