3x3 grow, what would you recommend?

Hey guys, I am planning my future grow. I would like to start with a 3x3 and then get two 4x4 if I like the hobby. I grew before in a cabinet and some LED light bulbs and it was pretty cool but such a struggle.

I watched some videos about COB led by growmau5 and though about going for 8x 1.4 cree cxb3590 with the best current bin if the price is reasonable.

On the other hand, upon looking in the led forum, I saw people say that the popular cree cxb3590 does a great job but is overrated and that we could get better for less. The idea was getting more cobs run at smaller amp but I didn't find much more explanation but that's all I got.
 
its not that cree is overrated... its just that it was the best thing going when growmau5's videos came out, and its a contantly changing landscape. right now citizen luminus and vero do the same thiing top bin ree does for half the price (of chips... which is only one component

put a 300W cob rig in there of any flavor and you will be happy

Could you point me towards a website that list the price and the data of the citizen luminous and vero? I am on my cellphone right now and searching is very slow.
 
here is most recent decent data in side-by-side tests

those are vero22. vero29 is better than that and is the vero of choice these days. good chips but im partial to the luminus for bang for the buck right now, unless you need to go over 100W/chip
