3rd day of flowering with a few questions

Hi guys just wanted to ask what you guys thought of my plants, and if you think they are ok. Im watering them about every other day a gallon between the four of them and feeding every other water(every fourth day). I have 2 two gallon pots and 2 three gallon pots. I thought i was doing well for my first ever grow but recently i have noticed yellow spoting on some of my fan leaves. Every water session i mix in 10ml of liquid karma and 5ml of cal-mag. During feed watering I give them 15ml of base nutes along with the additives i mentioned earlier. Im running a 400w hps about 10 to 11 inches from the top of the plants. If anyone could give me any advice or let me know if i should be worried about the spoting it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks bm

Do your leaf tips have any burn on them? Are the spots all over the plant or limited to the upper, middle or lower section of the plant? Also the light might be a touch too close but it all depends on what kind of airflow you have between the tops and the light. My best educated guess would be over fertilization with a touch of the light being too close.

A good way to tell if your lights are too close is to look at the very top fan leaves. Are they starting to curl upwards and looking like a canoe? If so they are trying to reduce their surface area cause they are receiving too intense of light.

Thanks for the quick reply!!! The yellowing is on the middle section of the plant, I think you could see it in a few of the pics. So I don't think it from the lights are too close, but other then that do they look ok?

is that tinfoil your using on the walls? im not tryin to diss or nothing but i was using tinfoil and it was causing me some spots n such like your talkin about, just a thought:peace:

well its kind of hard to see clearly cause you were too close to the hps when you took the picture. As for the tin foil you might as well pull that off, it doesnt do much lol. Go to the camping section in walmart and buy a couple of them emergency blankets, they work wayyy better. If you know anything about hps' then you should know they should be 18-24 inches above the tops of your plants for a 400W not 10-11 inches. That in my opinion is a little too close. Give a plant too much intensity and mess up on the nutes just one little bit and you are asking for a mess of problems.

They look ok for now just keep a really close eye on them.
