3 Fresca Sol platinums (vertical)
3 1K Sunmaster HPS
3 C.A.P. Nextgen Ballasts @ 240v hung from ceiling
Co2 (bottle for now, burner later)
96 gallon Res for fresca sols
1/4 hp eco plus chiller for lights
mag pumps for water system
C.A.P. Ebb and grow Hydro system w/ 2 expansions (24 pots, 8 per light)
1/10 hp chiller for ebb and grow reservoir
Nutradip 3-1 Meter
Milwaukee 3in1 sm802 back up meter
Medium is Hydroton pellets
2 wall fans
8000 btu small window ac unit for summer high temps and dehumidifier
C.A.P. O-zone1 (treats 5500 sf of odor)
Sunlight 240v power box

After 2 failed attempts due to root rot and using Botanicare organics with this system I have moved to the BC chem ferts that came with the system and bleach. I have also bought a reservoir chiller an are maintaining 64 degrees. Everything is going great but not sure on the outcome due to the plants being hindered by bacteria a bit. The bleach has knocked it out and most of the plants have been topped.

I am running clones of a strong mother Blue Apollo by Joeys weed. She stretches a bit and claws naturally but has a very good calyx to leaf ratio and have produced large buds from her before.

This is a new room built by myself and new equipment so I will fine tune things as grows go. I plan on lots of upgrades but need to produce with what I have first. I have been growing for 2 years prior to this room without a hitch...

The room stays at 78 with lights on and 90% of the heat is engulfed by the water jackets.

I believe in an open forum and shared information. All are welcome!!!

This marks day 4 of 12/12...

Future investments include a small mini split ac system, mylar, co2 burner, and a strain that is larger in both plant size and yield.

Forgot to mention. This is a micro climate. Those ducts on the ceiling are my central air and have nothing to do with this room.

Things have been going good and the bleach is still king

Hows about a foliar spray?
water 1L
LK 1 ML
Penetrator, 15mL
Bushmaster 4 drops
p.h. 5.9

Sprayed 30 minutes before lights came on and was dried by sunrise. Bushmaster is such an awesome product and increased the overall yield. When I want the plants to continue to grow and don't want to totally halt the overall growth I use it as a foliar spray. This compressed the nodes and makes the buds dense.

I am going to increase feeding and run a fourth flood and drain tomorrow.

I have my co2 running on a digital timer programmed for the sq of my room to 1500 ppm's every 3 hours lights on. A NG burner would save me 4 trips a grow to get a bottle refill. The co2 runs up the wall from the regulator and into a T junction where it splits up and travels to the 2 wall fans on either side of the room. The rooms walls act as a nice bowl to channel the co2 and keep the bottom of the room cooler.

Foliar spray went well and it seems like 4 drops per L with the bushmaster was right on. I have no clawing (which can be seen if you over do the bushmaster) and the nodes seem to be closer with the new growth. The final product will tell me how much it really impacted the bud.

I am running a flood and drain 4 times a day now and increased the feeding of my bloom ferts. These plants like a medium dose of ferts usually ending at 900 ppm at their peak @ the end of week 6. Pictures updates soon...

Plants are looking great! Need to figure out an easy way to attach bamboo stakes to these things for support.
Took a few pics. They are growing good for 8 days. She also has a natural curl to the leaves being half a DJ short Blueberry, but the tips are nice and green!

This is a few pictures of the same clones from mom in my old place. I used two 600's, a drip slab, scrog, and co2. As you can see she produces nice and very dense buds.

Refilled co2 tank today. Made it to the store 2 minutes before they closed! Not sure if I would have had two days worth of co2 in that thing and they are not open sunday so no co2 in a sealed room is no good.
increased feeding by 40ppm's of boost, bloom, and cal-mag today with the usual .5 ppm of bleach.

Some early shots of the room and framing. I have r14 insulation on the walls an r30 on the ceiling. This helps in preventing noise and keeps the room at a stable temp trapping the cold or heat depending on the time of year.
Fiberglass insulation is also fire resistant. I also made the jump from regular 1/2" sheetrock to Firecore 5/8" fireproof sheetrock just in case. It was only 2 dollars a sheet more and provides me with piece of mind.:blsmoke:
The electrical was also done by myself and is wired from the box with all proper spec gauge wire, plugs, and breakers. I also mounted the plugs high off the ground and some on the ceiling itself.

This is being done so well. That's gotta be the best room I've ever seen put together for a basement grow. Kudos kudos kudos. You know what you're doing. Those are gonna be some happy plants. I'm sure people will start following this real soon.

Thanks fellas, mighty kind of you guys!
This setup is light years different then my old one and takes time to get used to. The whole place will be covered in mylar at one point and the back part of the room, the part that is higher, will be my veg room. I will most likely switch strains on my next one in favor for some larger plants like a big bud or a haze ect...
I think I can fill out the room with my current lighting situation and don't need a vertical step grow or coliseum type situation as long as I am using larger plants. I plan on keeping the lights positioned where they are to make them stretch a bit but have the option to lower them once the 4th week comes and they are done growing vertically and concentrating on flowering.

The lights are cool to the touch with the water flowing through them but you can feel some residual heat about 7-10 inches away. They are about 12-13 inches away from the buckets right now and are not showing signs of heat stress or discoloration.

I figured the plants would have a lot more bud sites near the side closest to the lamp in the circle but have noticed that the entire plant is budding on all sides evenly. I positioned the buckets by staggering them so the light from the other circles would reach the backsides of the plants much like the rows in a movie theatre. Since the lights are about 4 feet apart and the plants are staggered, they are receiving light from the other circles. So in other words, the middle circle is being blasted by its center light a foot away from the plants while the light from the surrounding circles are blasting the backside of the middles plats which are only 3-4 feet away from the other lights.
I am thinking that if these plants don't grow very tall then they will be one big giant bud =)

I love vertical grows. Very nicely put together Jefferson. Ive just put together my first sealed room. Cant wait to see these monsters. Id love to try vertical in the future.

use a deep freezer as your res! atleast for the lights!? love the setup bro... makes me wanna go fresca... i wish there was a inline fan coolable 8" fresca... the best of both worlds!... im high, but i know it would be badass...
do you use a filter for the water in your frescas?

Knocked over my bottle of bloom and the store didn't have any boost so I have switched to the GH Flora line. I gave the system a flush to get the old stuff out and the plants are looking okay. I am having a hard time getting the watering cycle down. I am not sure how dry the hydroton needs to be between waterings and can't find any info online about it. I am only flooding 2 times a day now because the tips are curled downwards. My problem either has to be in the watering cycle or the nutes. I am only running 300 ppm total in my res and my water is 110ppm from the tap so 190ppm of ferts for these things. I know this sounds low but they don't seem to want to eat much. I am running equal parts of micro, bloom, and grow because I am still in the transition phase.
The overall plant growth is slowing but the buds are still popping out. I will post some pics of the leaves later.
