36hrs of dark before harvest or myth????

should i go dark for 36 hours or just chop this ?has been asked so many times so many opinoins any one tryed a sise by side comparison yet

I've read from a few people what they have done is for the last week give it 10 hours of light, they said it give's it more of a ripe flavor. I haven't done it yet, but when ever I cut mine down I just do it when next time the lights should be turned on. No long waiting period.

I've heard 48 hours before you harvest because it "tricks the plant into that its dying and pump all the resin out"

it makes since in theory.... let me no what happens i got a harvest comin up in about a week and would like to try this

Thats what I was told except I gave her 72 hours of complete darkness for that same very reason ...I dunno it worked. one thing I learned is to not get too impatient ( I know its hard ) but patience is the key.

I just harvested my JH the last week of her life I had 10 hours on 14 off. This coupled with 36 hour darkness did the trick. I have experimented several different ways. 24-36-48-72 etc. Happy medium for me is just over 36 but under 48. Just my $0.02

I plan on trying a 48 hour dark period next grow.

do the dark period the day its time to harvest...so 2 or 3 days after you would harvest

do 36 hours it make your bud have way more thc since the sun isnt killing it

That's wrong. The heat from the sun causes the plant to produce MORE resin to protect it. I have tried lghts out for 48 hrs and i didnt notice any difference. I do drain and run them with just ph'd water and some CLEAREX the last 10 days or so to let them absorb and use their stored nutrients...
