I wouldn't say a waste, but not needed. These drivers are built to run.

Just want to take resistor out if I want to. A pot is just a resistor.

If you wanna cool it use a clip on fan on low or something. It doesn't take much air flow to lower the temps.

Yah I know, But it looks cool, and would work with reflectors.

I have that driver no big deal. I use it to drive 2-cxa3590 145w each nice. Just give yourself some clearances for air flow. Peace
