Hey there and thanks for stopping by just had a quick question. So if you have one 315 ceramic metal halide and you put it in a 3X3 and you have another ceramic metal halide 315 and you put it in a 4x4 the 4x4 without yield the 3X3 wouldn't it?

Both are a bit light for each space

The 4x4 will not be fully lit, IE coverage will not cover the entire space

Theoretically they would yield the same....ish
 
I guess i dont undersand how it would yiels less.. all light would hit canopy compared to having reflected light? Erg. Why is this so complicated lol... do u use 315?
 
Light disipates as it goes out

The coverage of that light is not enough to cover a 4x4 area, so if you filled the tent, a lot will not get enough light and not grow well
 
Know i understand that concept.. but not growing well beats not. Grown at all. Wouldnt it.? Lor instance u have the main 3x3. And then a couple plants on the out side there would be extra ..no?
Do u have 315s?
 
I've done both.

The 3x3 felt mostly covered okay, gave only me smalls on the outside edges.

With the 4x4, I was able to train a bit heavier but really the outside foot and a half I was disappointed with size wise.

Quality was there with both, the weight was near identical from clone. But I like big buds and I cannot lie sir. The 3x3 worked better. But a 2.5x2.5 ft area is all I'd say a 315 really 'covers'.

Right now I do have a 3x4 scrog with two 315s over it, slightly staggered.
 
Here is the problem i do have 3 315. How ever i only have a 4x4. Veg space right now..
I have a 4x8 flower space available how ever .. the 4x4 veg space will not alow me to cover 4x8... now it is a open grow so i do have the options of playin with flowering space size.. anyone have advice of best way to optimize my lights.. i have recently started growing way fewer plants. Just bigger. I have 6. 3gal about filling a 4x4 veg right now.. ideas please and thanks
 
Oh really. How would u sugest acomplishing them fillling a 4x8... Plants and pot wise.. i have 6 plants and. 3 gal... a Little longer in veg and the will fill the 4x4.. Should i up pot? I can make the space any configuration its a 9 x 9 room..
I could do like 2 per 3x3...area.
im trying to acomplish a much better yield .. im only pulling like a lb or a little less dry out of the whole 4x8.. i have been told i should be hiting like 3 lbs... with 3. 315cmhs

You could veg with one CMH and then use 2*CMH + 1 central HPS in your flower space. That would make for a good spectrum.
Can use the 2 CMH to veg the plants further, then transition to flower with the HPS.
Yes, I would always uppot with each change of the tent.
 
Sounds like you don't have much of a clue of what yer doing still

3# is a lot, focus on your growing ability and learning, then yield will naturally get better
 
Yea thats about spot on..lol.. how ever..
There were alot of unknow variables up until now.. my last grows were bag seed land race sativas that aleays hermed..24 plants with 20 different phenos... i finaly bought. Seeds..of a reliable strain i dont belive wil herm and. There is much les variation in the plants....soo once agian i thank u 4 ur time..but
could u suggest how i could best utilize the lights and space i have with these 6 plants.. or what u would sugest..?? Please and thank u..? That is the 4x4
