Was wondering whats the best light I can get for around $300? I currently have 2 photos in a tent along with 4 autoflowers. Gonna take the 2 photos put them in my closet & flower them, so thats what the light will be used for. After that it will probably just be my veg light. Really wanting most bang for my buck.. any help or recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance & happy growing!

Looks like the Spiderfarmer SF2000 would be a good fit for you. It is a really good brand, with high quality parts.
Its also very effecient, and has a high ppfd output
It also has a dimmer knob which is super handy for transitioning between veg and flower

Im not totally against usinh HPS, but with my current setup I dont think its a viable option. My humidity & temps are easy to control at the moment, dont want to add another problem to the equation, or have to buy a window unit aair conditioner. I think for me LED is gonna be the way to go. Nonetheless, I appreciate the suggestion!

I would go with Mars Hydro TSL2000 or TSW2000
Ive also been looking at these lights too. Idk if they are better than the SF lights though. SF uses Samsung diodes, Mars Hydro uses Epistar. I also considered buying a BESTVA 2000W DC Series, but not if theres something better for poetentially a cheaper price or close to it.

Hhhmm I’m not sure either. I bought the Mars hydro based on some reviews I found online. I’m doing my first grow with LED right now, finding the TSL2000 is making the plants really happy, they’re growing faster than any light I’ve used in the past. I’ve grown with t5, CFL, MH and HPS in the past. If the LED yields as much as it’s supposed to, I’d consider buying the SF light in the future. Good looking out!

For $300, either the SF-2000, which I own and love and would buy again, or...

you could get the HLG-300 on sale now for $399, a little more than you want to spend.

This is the same size footprint as the SF-2000 with a little better quality driver and diodes.

Or go old school with the HPS or MH for $299 or less.

2 plants?

I'd get 2x TS1000 from Mars Hydro. 1 per plant. With the drivers in the closet, you should have plenty of heat.

Good luck putting a hid in a closet without a ton of ventilation
Savings you get with LEDs can pay for the upfront extra cost in only a year a lot of the time.
It’s not that hard. A cheap cool tube and a inline fan. Still get you under 300$

HID is like a Ford pickup. It just works.
Cheap led is like buying a Kia with full load leather and a sun roof. But scratching your head as to why is won’t handle well and last like a Honda.

don’t get me wrong I’m all for LED. Both my tents are rigged with Cobs.

Terrible analogy. As of 2020, Kia ranks 3rd in reliability out of 32 vehicle manufacturers.

Old Ford pickups don't get good gas mileage.
