hello,
i am looking for an advice concerning my plants. I have 90 plants in a room of 160 sq feet. the room remains closed and I have 1 600W HPS, 1 400W HPS and 2 250W HPS light. As ventilation I have a 20 inch extractor blowing air in the room ( I have placed the room at the door of the in-room bathroom...so it blows the air from the bathroom into the room where the plants are), I have a carbon filter conected to a centrifuagal fan extracting air from the room (I have contected the extractor ducting to the toilet waste). And I have 2 fans swinging and blowing air on the babies, each one on one side of the room. The room is taped with relfective materials on all 4 surfaces.
IN the country I am the products used or you guys might suggest is NOT availble. I have planted them in a mix of 50% vegetative compost and 50% chicken manure compost. The chicken manure lies at the bottom of the pot and then the pot was half filled with vegetative compost. Unfortunately I cannot get my hands on the type of soil mix growers on this site use.
I also cannot check the ph of the mix. but I have ordered a ph meter which i will get on the 30th July. All seeds are feminized red dwarf and if am not mistaken I might also have 10 regualr big buds amongst. My problem is that I had to leave the country and I left the room closed from sunday to thursday. When i opened the room on thurday night I notice that the leaves of the plants are cupped on the edge towards the outside.
I have done extensive research on the net and I am coming to the conclusion that there might be 3 or 4 factors that can exhibit such signs...heat, nitrogen level, ph level, light.
nitrogen level :- I cannot say anything as being a noob (learning from the internet and did the setup) but the plants are not being fed with any mixture. Only plain water till now..may be someone can advise me on the soil mixture i`ve planted them..can this be the cause?
ph level... I cannot test it yet.
light: 24/7 ...i dnt think too much light wuld do that..though i admit light is associated to heat as well
heat: I am suspecting heat but not sure what can be done as i cannot leave the windows open at anytime. I have decided to tackle the heat problem first since I dont have sufficient know how concerning the others. Do you think heat caused the leaves as if to shrink a bit? The light are about 2 feet above the plants.
Or else what could be causing that? Also has this affected the plant permanently to an extent that they would die
?
I will post pics next time.
