Anyone know what unit of measurement these measure in? It is graduated 0-2000 but it just says light on one side and dark on the other. Its a 2 prong model that you stick in the soil, I have found it useless for reading soil ph so I use it as a moisture gauge, and to check amount of light getting to the lower part of the plants. I just don't know what its measuring lumens, lux, foot candle, or whatever

Actually the moisture gauge is the only reliable part of the fucking thing. Mine works great. I wouldnt use it for anything else though. I bought a fucking Blue Labs Truncheon for PH , Its fucking BAD ASS

ya, the pH check is worthless. i bought a new one that just has one probe to be used for the moisture meter.

i seen a electronic soil pH tester at lowe's the other day, but now i'm leery. guess they always take returns.

think i'll just keep worrying about my water/nutrient pH. Things always stay peachy as long as i'm keeping that under wraps.

I still have all that garbage from years ago--None of those things work worth a shit. I picked up a digital HANNA multi plus soil -tester works like a charm. I wonder how many grows those cheap pieces of crap have ruined?

ive had bad experiences using the same ph meter for long periods of time. Just change them every 6 months. Lol
