I'm not sure where to put this, since it's not a technique, but WAY out of the ordinary.
Out of 7 seeds germinated (female seeds c99), 2 were Siamese twins, each with a runt. I was able to split the runts off just by tugging gently. With 1, i threw it away since i didn't think it could survive. The other i planted, and slowly, despite tiny cotyledons grew into a medium size plant..
So as if that part wasn't weird enough... Yesterday I was looking at the runt, and there was a taproot bulging out of the cube, next to the stem..... i pushed it up, and it was new, totally healthy embryo!! I split that one off and it's now growing just fine in its own starter cube.
3 embryos from 1 seed, 1 dormant for weeks! what!????!
