3 days of complete darkness before harvesting?

so i heard that if you put your plant in complete darkness for three days right before harvesting, it'll make the buds super dank because it will think its dying and so in a last ditch effort, will make its buds super bomb. is this true? does anyone have experience with this? please help cuz i'm about to harvest and i want to do it right!

also...

how many times do i have to flush my plant? is once enough?

I have read that the plants will freak out and pump out resin. So the bud will look dank as shit, but there will be no potency with the newly produced resin, so you wont get any more fucked up.

Plants put on most of their weight in the night cycle. During the day they build and store energy to grow at night. THC levels are highest at the end of the night. So naturally the best time to harvest is right before a day cycle.

Flushing requirements depend on what meduim you are using, and what type of nutes you are using.
