heres the setup(proposed): on hand I have a couple of 150w ballasts, 4 ceramic metal halide bulbs(4k with a better red output than standard MH),plenty of fans, a cabinet 2x1x30"(althoughif anyone had a suggestion for a cheap cabinet that would not look out of place in a bedroom..). Grow needs to be semi-stealth(ie. not noticeable by a casual visitor(smellwise since you can always turn off lights and fan if you have to) semi-stealth because lets face it , if the cops come in looking they'll find it anyway) 
, smell-wise(that would be a cool nickname

I'll do the homemade activated carbon filters, fabric softener sheets etc... not concerned about heat, I have a lot of experience keeping small wooden boxes with immensly bright lights in them cool, from another DIY project, which is how I happen to have pretty much all the fixins' on hand in the first place.. I'm a pretty good gardener so I know plants in general. All that is not to say I think it will be a cakewalk, any good gardener knows that shit happens, but that you can use it for fertilizer next time
.... so given all that. I am vascilaating between autoflower strains(prob an ak47 auto strain?) or LST-ing a non-autflower... need to do seeds to start with, I'll worry about clones and all that after I get the hang of this...
I personally like sativa but indica is better(I think ?) for my wifes ADD(the main motivation here, though certainly not the only one )...thoughts. ideas? and yes of course I'd like to get an oz(or 2) out of it but I realize in a space like that its challenging, if possible at all ... basically I need some advice that will help me pull the trigger on the strain, assume that cost for the seed is no that important(since basically everything else is free (my wise keeps this place like the arctic so electric is nothing also ) ...oh, location is midwest usa... and the attitude looks to be the best to get from so...
