2nd Grow Roots Haven't Drop into Reservoir

So this is the second clone i've gotten that the roots have not dropped into the reservoir(2wks).

I just wanted to ask and see if anyone knows why this would be happening? After the first week i took all the clay out of my basket to check on the roots. There were about 25, half inch roots coming through the rock-wool. I raised the water so the roots in the basket are now in water. I hope this helps.

Certain strains do seem to like to build a root base in the hydroton before growing down into the food supply. I've seen it a lot in rockwool. Never more than 3or 4 days tho. If u had pix of the actual plant that would help. First thing that comes to my mind is overwatering in the rockwool once transplanted to the bucket considering u had good root structure before they got there. Real hard to say without pix tho

So one root did manage to drop into the res. To test and see how strong the root was I blew on it as I dont like to touch them. While I do have some pretty bad breath at time, Not that bad; The root just broke in two. So I figured I would touch the root to see and it was like mooch. Anyone have any idea what is going on here? thx

I had a plant of mine that did basically the same thing. Couple of weeks and ZERO signs of root system. We figured they were "stuck" inside the rockwool and ended up doing some minor surgery. Basically, we took something small and roundish and poked some holes in the bottom of it. Few days later and roots came out Now they're everywhere, BUT we are still having stunted growth for surez. Just the luck of the draw I guess or maybe it was error on our part. Either way....note to self
