2nd grow attempt please review with me?

Bean: Pryamid Seeds galaxy(afgani x northern lights)
Soil: Starting in FFOF
Lights: Four 27w daylight bulbs. 5500K
Water: Spring bottled water
Ph meter: Milwaukee ph 600
Ph up and Down: Green Air Products pH Control Kit for Hydroponic Gardening - 93301 at The Home Depot

Ok so I just need to review on some things so I dont screw up my grow this time.

1. Ideal ph range for mj in soil is 6.4-6.8 correct? And then whats the ph level ideal for flowering?

2. Also when ph'ing the water, for example lets say my ph is 6.9 and I wanna lower it to 6.6. Do I just add enough ph down to the water so that my meter reads 6.6? I am kinda confused about the whole ph thing.

3. And as far as planting it. Is there any reason I wouldnt want to start it in a 2 gallon pot? Just so I dont have to worry about transplanting.

Also if there is any other info you think might be helpful feel free to post that to. :D

6.2-6.5 will keep you out of trouble in soil. Keep everything in this range...check before pouring on plant. After any additions to the water...period.
Use this for ph treatment. Use PH down to lower ph and to raise it use water (that has sat for 24hrs.). Natural water at least in most neighborhoods is higher then needed 6.5 so it alone will raise the ph balance. So, don't use ph up and down in the same water treatment ever......Use water and one of the ph stuff to adjust.
Start in a small pot because this plant likes to air out for a brief 24hr. period upon water time. Big moist soil pots are a headache and cause small plants stress. Simplest route....20oz cups for 2/3 weeks ( you can and should check plant roots by sliding the plant out of a cup checking roots of young plants)....transplant to 2 or 3 gallon pots....till finish.

so your saying to just have 1 seperate gallon for ph up and ph down? Like dont add ph up and down to the same water jug?

I would advise against using OF for a starter soil. It's pretty heavy on nutes, and burned one of my seedlings pretty bad. A better soil to start of in is a mix of Happy Frog and Ocean Forest. Like 60% HF, 20% OF, 20% perlite.

And it's better to use around a 16oz cup for seedlings, that way you can control the water better. After about 1-2 weeks, then you're fine to transplant into the 2 gal.

ya about that... ;) hehe. Its actually already in da pot and hopefully sprouts soon. I figured I would be ok with ffof just since everything I read said that sativas are the more sensitive ones. So heavy indicas seem to do ok starting in FFOF
