So I did a tradeski's for this 2k hood. Never owned one, thought I would get some pro's and cons from anyone thats ever had one.....

Two 1k watt bulbs in that would probably be too intense. Probably end up bleaching your plants due to the high concentration or you'd have to hand it prohibitively high up. You would probably be better suited by using one, 600watt HPS and a 330 watt CMH for good results. Depending on your space of course.

I havnt purchased the ballasts for it yet. And I was debating on using it with just one 1k bulb. Excellent point on the possibility of bleaching but idk...
the sun is a kajillion wattsThey girls would definitly have to be introduced gradually to this light if 2k runnin. Kinda wonderin how hot she'll get with even air cooled....

3.8(10)^26 watts per second actually, but only a small fraction actually reaches earth in a useable form. I wouldn't recommend going over 1.2kw of power in one hood. It's possible to bleach plants with a 600watt if it's mounted close enough. More isn't always better, I think 75w/ft^2 is about the upper limit for most.
