2700k cfl?

My 2700k bulb gets extremely hot. To the point that I can't hold my hand on the bulb or ballast for more than 3-5 seconds. Is this normal for a 2700k bulb?

Yep... they get warm if you hold them.

My maxibright 250w cfl 2700k doesnt get that hot - I can touch it no prob. I also have a 125w 'blue' cfl thats about the same

none of my bulbs get hot and i have 150 watt 2700k bulbs. I can hold it in my hand while it runs for any amount of time. :\

Of course you can hold them in your hands all day long, you're in Canada.
