Im changing my lights to a 250hps cause UFO led's are not cutting it anymore. I will be purchasing a Euro air cooled hood with 6 inch ducting 250 cfm duct fan. I also have two axial fans for intake totaling 230 CFM in, 115cfm a piece. The cab is 20 cubic feet.
Im concerned with the temp increase as Im running a little hot right now with the leds. Currently temps are at 73-77, for hydro set up, but the leds are not ducted out.
I understand that without air cooled hood I calc: 250w*3.14/x=250cfm. x=3.14, so about a 3 degree increase in temps, but thats without air cooled hood. I dont plan on ducting an intake, as its just a cab I will pull the air in from the cab and use the duct fan as my main ventilation. Will no intake affect my temps?
The cab is only 20 cubic feet of space so a 250cfm duct fan should be plenty... right? I will keep the 230cfm intake fans the way they are.
