250hps bulb in 600watt ballast?

Heya guys dum question but i'am a noob, can you put a 250watt hps in a 600watt ballast? aslo can you run mh lamps in a hps ballast?
 
Nah man, those things are matched to bulbs and its not cool to mix and match. I'm not saying it wont work but I wouldnt do it. I got enough to worry about without worrying about my house burning down for mix matching bulbs and ballasts.
 
They make conversion MH bulbs that are made to go in a HPS ballast. As long as the Watts are the same. ie, 400w bulbs, 400w ballast.

OK here's one for ya.....I ran out of toilet paper and I have 120 grit sandpaper. Is it ok to use that on my keester?
 
lol yer read about the hps to mh mod by bypassing the iginiter but i dont wanna kill my self or go stuffing with high voltage stuff.

as soon as i get another 400wtt mh i am going to try itin my 1000wtt hps. just to actully see what happens.:hump: i have one that dead maybe i should try that one. itwould be kool if it lite up.
