hey guys this is still my first grow. got a 250 hps in my closet space is about 2ftx3.5ftx8ft. my plants are at 39 in right now and are in day 28 of flowering. i tied them down to get more light to all the colas for more bud. I can see they look a little skinny. does anyone think ill get an oz a plant. this is my first time so i was expecting something low. also i heard that the hps will make a plant stretch during veg growth. is this true? im also planning on a new grow room here soon. im goin with a 120cmx120cmx200cm grow tent with a 600w lamp both mh and hps. here are some pics of my 2 girls and my supply list for my new room. can anyone help me out on these two plants or on my supplies for my new room. i was thinking about putting 6 plants in the tent to maximize growth is this a good idea? i think im set but want some of your expierienced input. thanks and get ya smoke on
Remember that a seasoned grow will normally only achieve a gram per watt if set-up is optimal. You should expect less than that considering you are a new grower. Ounce is possible but it depends on the strain and growing condition. I would say shoot for the low yield and if you get a higher yield than you will be happy because you weren't expecting it. The hps light is not what makes your plant stretch. You probably have the light to far away from your plants and that is what is making the plant strech. Don't put it to close either though, it should be about 12''-18'' above your plant. Do the hand test to make sure it is not to close. If you want to get a grow tent I would suggest getting a homebox, as this is what I use and I like them very much. Not a lot of light leakage but with any tent you are bound to get some because it is just stitching. You will need a carbon filter and I would recommend getting an can carbon filter work really well at elminating smell. For an exhaust I went with a sunleaves because they are very quite and I don't want a jet engine in my bed room...lol. I use a 600w hps cool tube for both veg and flowering. Some people with recommend using a mh for veg, me I don't think you need one. I have had better success just using a hps throughout the grow and average .8g/w. If you get the homebox L six plants should do just fine in that tent.
You got some nice looking plants, keep growing and smoking.
