250 watt hps vs over 250 cfl

i thinking bout gettin a 250 hps for my nest grow, but it will be a stealth grow in a pantry/cupboard. how would a 250 hps compare to around the same amount watts of cfl? and would heat be a real issue with such a low watt hps?

There would be no comparison between a cfl light and a hps or mh bulb. Period. Yes heat will be a small issue, a ballpark guess on a 250watt hps would be about 700btu of heat and hour off that bulb. You will need some sort of venting.
