24 vs. 18 hours? With insufficient light lux!

I've got a veg space with insufficient lighting. It is as low as 15,000 lux around the fringes up to 35,000 in the center.

(Normally I would not have a setup like this, but I am waiting for the flower room to finish up, which is taking longer than expected).

Question: Should I switch to 24 hours on, in order to improve the daily light integral?

You'd be surprised what 10,000 lux can grow, I've 4x T5s in a clone tent they're well capable of preparing 4/6 plants to flower.
They wouldn't be my 1st choice but only through growth speed, the quality of growth from 10,000 lux is impeccable its just not the fastest.

I believe my best opinion would be to increase light to no more than 20 on. Plants repair and grow in the dark as we do. Move the plants to get even light. Or the lights. And @Star Dog is correct. A small amount of watts will sustain more veg growth than we think. 40W held this for a few years over winter. 017.jpg

What kind of light ?
I am using a good 240 watt quatum board (chinese). I also got a cheap 110 watt cree that I added on today (not sure if it helps much).

The plants are doing fine and surviving, I just wonder if using like 22 or 24 hours instead of 18 might make for more tops etc. and better growth. When I was vegging with a much higher lux last round in a different room, the plants had so much tops and little stretch. Now I am seeing quite a lot of stretch comparatively. I dont want too muich stretch since my flower chamber is vertically challenged.
