i honestly never noticed a difference when i changed over i have tried 24/0 18/6 and 20/4 i just use 20/4 to save power and because my strains tend to flower at 18/6 weird fucking OG's

i forgot to mention that I'm using a 400w hps with a arctic sun reflecter(15.5widex18long with glass) in a 4x4x6.5 tall grow tent. lights are on a chain raising setup. plants are fimmed or topped, whatever its called.

i thank you are right sumtimes they tend to flower at 18/6. not all of them but a few of the runts will.

if your vegging with a t5 or a 400 might as well go 20/4. I would give it sum sleep time though

ya i have had friends with the same issues. but like i said i never noticed a difference in growth rate. i like to give my equipment a nice 4 hour break too makes me nervous running 20k watts for 24 hours a day lol
