23w fluorescent enough to sustain mother plant?

You need at least two... they dont grow quite right under 1 cfl, cause the point of light needs to be close and is too small...

so most of the plant is in the dark.

Get as many watts as you can on it, but I'll bet two would work, and certainly much better than just one. (I am using them for veg too)

thanks for responses. So i was able to get a 50 watt bulb that I'm going to try.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience sustaining a mother plant on its side while in soil? my thought is the plant would do fine.
