23 watt cfl's

I've seen people growing with the 23 watt screw in cfl's, some have had good results, well I bought some bulbs and light sockets, extension cords and y adapters; slapped it all together and wham, I took care of any dark spots I had going on before. It was all good, then I looked up the color temp on the bulb and it was like 2700, isn't that more for flowering then vegging? Cause I'm in veg still... And speaking of flowering can you do it with the veg bulbs? I ask cause I want to throw some plants into budding, but I'm not getting my flowering T5 lights for 2 more weeks. Thanks guys.

Thats correct, 2700 is for flowering, 6500 for veg. Personally I follow the ones saying mixed, with 30/70 towards 6500 when veg. I use the same kind of bulbs, doesn´t grow as well as some I see her, but I´m pleased for now.

Grab some 150watt cfls=40watts.
Life savers!
Check out my grow to see what i mean.

Nice call Passthatsh!t, only I couldn't find the 150s, so I guess I'll just ride with these ones till the wheels fall off... I didn't try looking around though, I was at ACE and saw it, and got it. I'm gonna look around for some of the 150's though cause you have a nice grow going on. My plants got off on a bad start with the walmart plant lights at first, so some of them are really empty, but with my new set up everything is getting bushier. I like my results. I'm starting a journal, I'm just having trounle with pics. Check it out later though, peace.

For veg get daylight cfls they are 6400 work very vell for clones and vegging plants. You will not induce flowering with a 2700 spectrum bulb unless you cut the light cycle back to 12/12
