Kicking off my 2016 thread with a White Lavender clone. This is the last one I have since I flowered the mother a few months ago.

Mother was grown from seed from G13 labs, got it as a freebie. Pretty decent, frosty, smells skunky, floral, a little sweet too.

This clone is in a 1 gallon fabric pot. Recycled soil amended with biodynamic compost and Pescatarian super soil. Won't be harvesting for a least a few more weeks. Looking for at least 30% amber before I chop her.

I have been experimenting with different flowering schedules, started with 12/12 and have worked down to 10/14 so far. I think that with the White Lavender the flowering speed has slightly increased as the day length is shortened. Less stretch for sure. I may go back to 12/12, but for now I like the results I am getting while saving money on electricity.

Also been vegging on 14hrs of light, with 13hr on, then 1 hr on in the middle of dark cycle.

The super soil is my take on a recipe originally posted by @ganjamystic many thanks for posting your recipe.

nice looking plant, you can tell it's got a shorter day schedule...
You're probably losing out on a good 15 to 20% on your yields man... is the two hours worth it?

We were trying to save money this summer with the shorter day schedule- but if I'm losing that much yield it's definitely not worth it, at least when we don't have to run the AC. I think I'm going to go back to 12/12. Thanks for the info. Very much appreciated :)

The amount of extra bud you'll get 12-12 would far outweigh your elec expense, shit, I'd bet our elec is double the price of yours, but I wouldn't consider that till the last week at least

judging by the shade of green and the size i'm guessing it was a cfl? or maybe a LED?
I'm asking because unless its really hot there, an AC isn't usually needed...
Doesn't look to be a HID grown plant though..
You sure you need AC?
Cannabis can tolerate 100deg weather without hiccups, provided the media has water and is cool, wet cardboard works awesome for that...

Our apartment has little to no insulation and no way to vent the air out so it would heat up inside quickly in the summer. Moving to a better situation in April and will be able to set up properly.

I am using cheap Chinese LED I have had them a few years and they keep getting crappier. Trying to figure out the best way to use the parts to make a cob.

Are you saying to use wet cardboard ontop of the soil?

ahh makes sense.. that shade of green led me to believe that it was a weak light.
Your genetics look good, you need to get a better LED panel.
supraSL has like ten write-ups on the LEDs, he's the guy for that, don't bother him, the information is all there, look in the LED portion of the indoor section, spend a couple days there, get a cheap soldering iron and some old radio circuit board to practice on..

Yeah, I have needed a better light for a long time, was going to get another led from a more "reputable" company but luckily stumbled upon the COB section and saw how much better they perform.

Thanks for the tip on supraSL, I have only seen greengene, growmau5, and @SomeGuy has built some sweet lights too.

Also our Critical + Auto from Dinafem is getting heavier into flower, this pheno doesn't seem to be as tall so far as the other seed we grew, mainly because her neck almost snapped off. It does have that same refreshing light lemon scent :weed:

Flowering tent has two lights that claim to run at around 400w and 150w, used to give more in the way of yield but we are grateful for the yields that we get :D

The big plant in the back left is CBD Shark Shock from CBD Crew. Smaller ones are a clone of the Shark Shock and, a bag seed from an old neighbor, and Afghan Skunk Haze from CH9.

Got some more coco loco and was able to transplant the following to 1 gallon fabric pots:

Blue Balz, Chaka, SRS, Ripped Bubba, and Frank's Gift

Gave them a little super soil in the base and topped them off with a layer of biodynamic mulch

Also have noticed that this most recent White Lavender clone is more potent than her mother or previously harvested sisters. Vaporizing brings out her subtle lavender and grape flavors. Sticking to the roof of your mouth type of taste.
