How much Area is that amount of light good for. I have a DECENT sized area and my lights are going to be right "on top" of the plants .... Giving that they are CFL's and all. But roughly what size area do you think that amount of light is good for and how many plants. And I already know I should get and HID light but I'm not going to (selfish lil douche I suppose HAHA) and Yes I know my yeild will be smaller but its all good because I grow for the fun of it not the profit. What I grow is for me and a few close buds so.... It's all good to have a "lower" yeild... at least to me.

Thanks

right now I am using 9000 lumens per plant, or six plants under a 430 watt.
So that would leave you with about 1.5 plants.
But to be honest I wish I had more lights! Next time.

I assume you want to flower with this lighting?

I have 1 plant under cfl's in a small grow space, 17700 lumens and she's doing okay.

if you're using up 205 watts for CFLs, why don't you just get a 250 HPS? yield will be way better as the HPS has better light penetration and output. you'll have thicker heavier and denser buds for an extra 45 watts used
