Hello RIU Friends! Perhaps you've noticed I've been absent. I had a very serious hunting accident which resulted in a 5 hour surgery, 12 screws in my shoulder, and roughly 30 staples. A hospital stay and some serious pain management... Today they sent me home for 8-10 months of rehab.
Whilst carrying a crossbow, I caught my foot on a root, had a split second to toss the crossbow, (or land directly on it, cocked and locked) as I pitched forward, I clearly heard the CRUNCH, SNAP, CRACKLE!
The ball broke in 3 pieces, the socket in many more, there is a ring of bone that encircled the socket, that holds the ball in. I broke that completely off, and severely dislocated the whole thing.
Everything just went from bad to worse... But the good news is I'm home, I'm alive, and there's hope.
I missed you all, and the hospital wouldn't let me connect to this site. Hope all is well with you all. I really did miss being here and talking to my friends every day. Thanks again, hope the harvest was better than my deer season.

Wow man that's gonna take a while. At least you didn't take the arrow. Glad to hear you're back home.

Speedy recovery to you. Hit me up if you need I anything I can do at the distance. Med up and sleep was my recovery plan.

Damn PVOG--sorry to hear of your misfortune. That is one hell of a scar you've got on your shoulder.

But hey, at least this didn't happen during the growing season. Assuming you got everything harvested and put away at this point.

Hey, I just made a batch of CBD balm--first time. Might be good to rub some right onto that shoulder (I tweaked my shoulder badly the other day, to the point where it was actually waking me up at night, and I rubbed some of that balm on it--next morning it was totally fine.) Be glad to ship some down to you if you'd like...

Holy crap man! That sounds dangerous. All the best in recovery and healing. Sorry to hear!

Still have one soldier left ... Super Malawi Haze... normally a 15 week finisher... I popped the seed on 7/18 and kept in indoors under 18/6 until about 8/28 so it was late to start flowering in the first place... it's been handling low 30's at night and a few nights into the 20's ... it's starting to show some wear, and I expect it'll never fully finish, but I'm going to run it until the wheels fall off ... i may pull it in if nights get really cold, and I have a nice sunny spot in the house I may try to let it fully finish
