So, it's getting to be that time of year to start thinking about what flavours we will all growing this summer. I'll be starting mine indoors around the end of march I guess so I need to order seeds one of these days.

Has anyone grown one of the Grizzly strains from Kootenay mountain seeds? They also have a texada timewarp I might be interested in.

I grew BC Big Bud, God Bud and OG Kush outdoor last summer. The BC Big Bud finished first, smelled the best and yielded the best. The Kush took so long I ended up losing some of it. I might consider growing the Big Bud again as one of my strains.

PeakseedsBC has the Berry strains and a few others but I haven't tried them yet.

What are some other strains people have in mind this year?

From a fellow Canadian , I’ve had luck with getawaymountsin strains and bcseedking seeds in the past. This year I’m growing all getaway gear again, R2, goldmine x R2, stumbleweed (texada time warp in it), Manila crack etc, made some crosses as well, I actually have too many strains to grow out this year, I wanna focus on a few instead of like 12 different strains.

I'll always put out some cuts of Dr. Greenthumb's Irainian Diesel- finishes Oct. 1.

I'm thinking about putting out one Katsu Bubba Kush to see if it will finish around here.

Selecting a Turkish Delight mom to find the pheno I used to have, once I find it I'll be putting that outside- usually finishes around 1st week of Oct.

I did Goldmine the year before last, it was very butterscotchy caramelly hashy & finished end of Aug to start of Sept.

I might put out a JOTI Blue Chemo to see how she does.

...& maybe one Dinafem Purple Afghan Kush.

Experimental summer days!

If you want good outdoor that finishes in time from peakseedsbc I highly suggest the c99 or texada x skunk he has. His texada x NL finished early too but had mold issues.
Can't recommend the c99 enough.
Cheers :)

Early Grizzly from Kootenay is an early stealth guerilla plant. Not very big, maybe 3-4 ounces if you veg it inside before putting them out, decent potency in an old school way and most are done late August to early September. Jumbo Grizz, is hit or miss on good potency, but most will be at least decent, gets bigger than the Early Grizz and goes deeper into September. Shown some mold problems in the past.

Texada is a winner in the outdoor potency department, but seeds vary from supplier to supplier. Some can get good sized.
Nice smells and some purpling if grown in cooler spots. Good luck.

Those getaway mountain seeds look pretty good. I checked the website & they don't ship outside the states tho. I wouldn't mind trying the R-2 & R-2 Poison.

I have a 10' height restriction and two 5' x 15' raised beds. Last summer I started indoors and put them out long weekend of May. At the time of putting them out my garden was full of cucumbers, pea's, peppers and other stuff so I put the plants in empty spaces but I didn't take into account the fact that they would grow to 8 or 9' tall and 5-6' in diameter. The cheap greenhouse makes it possible for me to grow late into October but I don't want them sitting out there that long either. Late sept is the latest I want to go this coming summer so I think I'll do some more BC Big Bud which is the first plant on the left. Beautiful smell, good smoke and huge buds. Might order some M.O.B. from GTASeeds, fast finisher. Maybe The Purps too.IMG_2750.JPG

hello derr canadian brudders. This year I'm going to have my first outdoor grow in a long time and I'm quite excited. In a way I wish this was still the old days where I would hike a few miles into the bush and plant my stuff out there guerilla style. I feel like I want to "lose" a bunch of beans out near the lake this year and see if somehow they will survive and thrive.

I'm going to grow some kali china by ace seeds, some purple bud by white label, nypd by sativa seedbank, and maybe green crack or blueberry by crop king. I've grown all of these strains before and have multiple clones/seeds of each. Although i've only ever grown them indoors.

..and some of my own autos that i've bred. I call it TMNG, teenage mutant ninja ganja. it's a cross of mi5 and midnight express. The midnight express is by freedom seeds i think. Fucking amazing plant. Very fruity, deep purple(in any conditions), and so covered in trichs it's nuts. I ended up crossing the mi5, which is think is by short stuff, and I got this pheno from the group that was very purple and powerful and very frosty, but it grew kind of twisted and warped, but the end result was always nice. At the time my nephews were going through this little ninja turtles phase and so I ended up naming the strain TMNG. I'll probably have 4 large plants, and then several of these little autos in my garden, all the meanwhile trying to stay within my legal medical limit. Feels so nice to have that legal status. With the auto's I'll start them inside and I'm hoping to get two harvests by the end of september from them. They are very quick.

The kali china is also a very nice strain. I love it. I have one in the basement tent right now that is utterly completely purple. Leaves and buds are a very nice deep purple. Very frosty as well. Decent bud sizes, and a fast finisher. According to the Ace seeds site, this strain is an F5. Currently I am taking cuts from a second kali china and I'll be putting some white widow by nirvana pollen on another in a few days. I have also grown the hondurus strain by ace seeds. I am very impressed by this company. They claim to have passionate and ethical practices, and from what I've experienced they are quite high quality and don't over price their shit like some of these other companies.

The nypd is awesome as well, potent and stinky. The white label purple bud has not gone purple for me at all, maybe it will outdoors. that's the main reason I'm growing it. the green crack and blueberry is not as great as i thought, I'm actually quite disappointed with Crop king. I wouldn't buy from them again, but I have several clones and so i might as well try them outdoors. The green crack though I guess was pretty easy to grow and turned out well, but compared to other strains I've grown it just isn't that great.

Okay well I've ranted enough now, I guess that rum and beer really hit me!

I am going with Dr. Greenthumbs Goldmine again this year.Grew out a monster last year.Finished Oct 15, good thing it was in a greenhouse as we had a couple good dumps of snow and minus 7 by then.I have tried a lot of his IAF crosses but i have only had 50% of them finish over the years.I never had any IAF X Diesel finish .The straight IAF always finishes but i am not a fan of the flavor.I got over 3 pounds from his IAF X C99 a couple years ago. Its tough finding early finishers that yeild well.Oh ya, i am in Alberta.

I 2nd the peakseedsbc C99. Got it as a freebee and it was my favorite strain from Mike. No mold. Looks and High like sativa finish like a indica.

I have 10 feminized BC Juicy Fruit seen HERE on the way and also 10 fem BC Big Bud also from BC Seedking. I have grown out 4 of their strains and they were all great. Plenty of fairly quick flowering strains to choose from such as Green Crack, Juicy Fruit, BC Big Bud and a few others.

I would order peakseeds but I don't have the space to be sexing plants at the moment.

I might throw a few TH Seeds Bubblegum outside this year too, already have some leftover seeds.

Bcseedking is a great choice to this day the purple Kush from them has been my favourite strain in ten years of growing however it didn’t yield much and I’ve not seen it in stock whenever I randomly frequented the site. Gl
