I am excited for a few of these. If you're a CA resident, I encourage you to click the link from ballotpedia and read a bit about the bills and who is funding support/opposition for them

How do people feel about prop 60: porn condoms?

It would be fun to do political work on that. Sitting around a commuter station with a clipboard asking people about how they feel.
I can tell you one thing, I probably wouldn't watch much porn with condoms in it. I haven't read much about if there's a legitimate problem in the industry with STIs or something similar that needs to be addressed. I think that's kind of an overstep in authority, risks come with pretty much all jobs, requiring porn productions to use condoms can affect the quality of the product, thereby affecting the number of sales.

I thought ending capital punishment was big, I haven't even heard anything being said about that on local news or anything. I support that. Increasing the income tax on people making over $250K, yep, I support that. Increasing the sales tax on cigs., yes. Tell the reps. to get their asses in gear with repealing Citizens United, yep. Lot's of good stuff this year, pretty exciting.

Not too shabby.

54 has electrical and hacking issues.
57 needs to clearly state non violent crimes such as high speed pursuits, B&E, and drug dealing.
58 can`t happen, you go to other countries and you follow their rules and languages, Same here should they come.
60 will suck for women or Buck giving BJ`s. That thing snaps and........
61 removes an incentive for sacrificing.

For 54...

You think they're typed on a typewriter or something?

All you'd need to do is make the document publicly available on a website.

Hackers follow key strokes and can make the page or site appear as they wish. If it`s always down, How can you have any pudding ?

No they can't, not without access to the server.

If they can access the server, we're fucked anyway.

Hacking a State Govt server will get you put in a hole for a great many years tho, that's why people tend to hack the private sector.

Hmm..... Seems California is doing pretty well. Now I wonder what changed in the last few years? Weren't they in budget crisis not too long ago?
What is their secret?
LOL

Hacking the Gov. server from China wont. I`m not privy at all in that field but I remember what overloading did to ACA website.

That's because people were using a script on the website to sign up.

Simply viewing a document is far more simplistic and far less of a load on a server.

Govt security is insanely tight, they use encryption that could potentially take longer than a human lifetime to brute force.

Being Computer illiterate in general, I`ll take your word on that.

That means illegal porn would just be dudes wearing no condoms creating another black market what's this world coming to .....funny that's even on there all jokes aside like there isn't more pressing matters in the world than safe sex in adult movies ......just proves another theory that the 18 and older rule is never followed on web sites and even they know it's all children watching and participating in adult sites .......I would name a few on here now but I'm already on the naughty list and being blocked from replying on occasions recently on here for not being an up standing rule following Riu member lately .....I think the children in the flat earth thread banned together and snitched me out Little basterds ...oops I mean darn it

I talked real quick with someone that kinda knows about websites,...they said the Gov. will cram it with advertisements and it`ll load slow so you don`t miss any and nobody will take interest.

$$$$$$$ is behind that.

Kinda off subject somewhat but another thing that really bugs the shit out of me about people I know is that they will bitch and complain about laws and different shit but none of them actually go and vote for what they believe in .....that's irritating if there's something I live and believe in and I have any type of chance to cast my vote in that direction I'm there .......so many gun enthusiasts/activists complain about gun laws etc etc yet have never done shit including vote against or for laws they believe in ......same with mmj people get upset about certain laws and rules but never get off there ass and cast there vote or go to hearings about ordinances in there area ......when people I know complain about especially gun laws and mmj laws 99% of them just bitch and that's it ......it's irritating .....sorry OP your thread just made me think of that .....back to unprotected sex in porn videos being super important and life changing for the people ....

You're already talking to someone who knows about it.

Your other source is a bullshitter.

Are you saying there will be no ads. on it ?
Ads != Automatic Slowdown

Most ads are actually trivial to run because they're only a frame displaying an ad from an external site.

The problem is when people use massive files to make the ads and some websites still display them, which is highly unlikely for a Govt website.

Then if the Gov. don`t use advertising to pay for the site, then things might go smooth and the idea can probably work well. But there`s always that extra money left over and the site is guaranteed to have 3/4 of the country viewing it.

It will kill them to not accept advertising offers. I hope they don`t.
