Bud, even a superficial look tells me you're looking up the ass of a dead dog on that one. Even Westone themselves went to FR bridges for the most part these days.

Frankly, I think you have two options:
  1. Buy another used guitar and scavenge it for parts.
  2. Floyd Rose it and forget about it.
Edit to add: Next time, do what I do: buy a Gibson or a Fender. ;)

Yeah been thinking about a Floyd Rose for a decade as well. It's all that luthier stuff I don't really know and it would cost more than it's worth. Maybe some day I'll get a piece of steel or something and start carving it out with a dremel and file. lol. I dunno man. If you saw the action on that thing tho damn. It's so close.

I'd FR that sucker in about an hour for you. It's not that big a deal. 90 or so bucks from StewMac for a good one, and you're off and running.

That's a very nice offer. Even more amazing if you set the intonation which takes me forever too. Thing is it's really old. Not even worth trying to restore or mod. I could probably get a brand new $200 job on musicians friend that would be even better. I do appreciate it tho.

Meanwhile. An actually pic of said Westone Dynasty, which has been sitting around in a dusty corner for more than a decade. To show off my luthiering skillz. Or lack there of. lol Notice the screws jammed in there lol. It worked well enough if you don't mind constantly tuning. lol. Thanks bro!

Whatever works, brother. My most intense repair was a Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty with a broken neck. The head stock was literally holding on by the bindings. I was told if I could fix it, I could have it.

Needless to say, I'm now the proud owner of a 2008 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty (three humbuckers) with a Bigsby. Took about 3 weeks, but well worth it. Total cost of repair: 75 bucks.

Edit to add pic and: Named it Lazarus for obvious reasons.

Cfl's bring heat like no other IMO.. not like HPS heat but the 4 40 true watt cfl's I added deep in flowering with my autos raised the room 10 degrees.. thats alot for a room with 6 foot ceilings.

the 180 watt ufo I use (106 true watts) and 4 cfls though... has given me some really dank buds.. sure the nugs are on the smaller side but I only grow for me and maybe "help" a friend here or there out with an 1/8th. I can tell ya'll this.. out of all the weed that I buy.. the stuff I've grown always has alot more crystals... looks better..smells better and taste better...

I'm so sick of people pumping out plants that are just mids... good strains but grown in bad conditions so they turn out mids.. I'm not talkin about any of ya'll.... im talkin bout people in my area.


I think my next step is to wait a few months and get a bare minimum (250 true watt) COB LED light.


Airwalker .... I did like that light you showed a link to... if only it had 50-100 more true watts.. I dont trust that company because they didnt specify true watts.



hell my ufo said it was only 92 watts but I tested it at the wall with a APC computer power backup and it read 106 so it was actually higher than stated.


I have my transiberian auto under it right now and I said screw it and have a photo strain of nrivana blue mystic germinating now. I am gonna try and grow 2 plants under this 180 watt and add cfls if needed...

If I have to I'll just veg the blue mystic under 20/4 till the auto is done then throw the blue mystic in 12/12 and finish her up.


I have always liked the smoke of blue mystic and flavor too so today I got some very nice seed starting soil that has alot of coco coir in it and some rooting hormorne powder too ... which i plan to keep on cloning this fem blue mystic .. that'a'way I dont have to keep on buying seeds unless i want something specific.


now that I have rooting hormone I can atleast take cuttings of this blue mystic and be sure its female.

At the end of the day... we're all here with the same goal... to grow the funkiest bud on planet earth and to have every grow get better and better.


I'm nothing more than a poor man who is trying to not pay 20 a gram.

Lol last buy I payed 20 a gram on an 8th ugh. I have someone kinda broker for me because I won't mess with dealers idk. And I just started smoking again after 5 years no connects really
