I have a 70 watt hps and a 125 watt light called "plant grow and show," with a blue coating. Is the 125 watter any good? Im am planning on growing 10 Top 44 auto-flower plants (granted some will be male, and will be removed) and one larger indica plant and will probably buy 2-3 60w cfls before I plant. Also soon after will upgrade to a 400 watt hps.

My area is 9 sq feet, and 7ft high... painted with white semi gloss paint for reflection...

any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

-Thanks!

Oh.. other lights I have laying around: 17 watt Ott Lite..? 17 watts sucks, but can i put it to any use?, and another 65 watt "grow and show"

I suggest you read what VictorVicious has written about fluorescent growing. Or do a search for other grows using them.

oh yeah dude, i read that. I sortof gave too much information there... my main question was if the 125w is worthwhile.

the 125w and 65w are cfls and can be used for growing, and the hps can be used for flowering, i would reccomend adding another 125w for that many plants, depending on ur grow space.

Now see, i have heard that the 125 was just an incandescent with a blue film, and that it wouldn't work well. Now I have 2 opinions, and I think I'll just try it myself to make a judgment.
You can use hps bulbs all the way through, correct me if I am wrong, so long as the plants do get enough blue spectrum from other lights.

Yes I thought about getting another one, and now I will.

thanks for the input dude

ye the reason i thought urs were fluorescent is because they come in 125w and 65w and others.

and yes u can use hps all the way ... is this 125w light actually give off a blue light or is it jus bright white?

its bright white, I cant take pictures, cause I dont have my camera on me, but I might be able to link you to a picture.

Where did you get that envirolite? Thats not a pretty good price, a euro is what, a $1.50, so it would be a bit more in usd. But in any case, thats a sweet deal.
