Hi there all,
I have 7 plants nearly a foot high outdoors. But 4 of them are in 2 containers (2 plants in 1 container) Yeah i know...my bad...happened cause i couldnt get to them in 2 weeks..and so on...its too late to transplant them because there roots are tangled(or is it?). All 4 are doing very well. They are Hindu Kush and Jamaican pearl.
So shall i wait until i know what sex they are and then chop the male(if it is) or choose 2 to be removed now, leaving 1 in each container?
I know it will stun the growth a little if i leave them but im not sure witch is the best decision.
, thanks.

I'd try to transplant them because they're going to fight for water and nutes and one of them might die in the process.

well if they are a foot tall I dont think you will be able to transplant i would suggest keeping them small a mothers and cloning off them at least you have more plants and dont have to worry about sex after the moms have been sexed

Yeah ok.
So they are about 5 weeks old, When would a good time to clone be.

well you can clone now but if they are not sexed then you may end up with some males but hey if you like the strain and have room to play you can keep a male and breed some seeds for next year

showing signs of sex yet? If not i would take them inside if possible to sex them then take clones

Long time before I see there sex, light dont get shorter here until about june 21st.
and no way i can bring them back inside.
But could clone them out there, i have a very private protected area that it could be done.

Ok, cool.
haha yeah i was imagining cloning a whole lot of males..no waay...daaam.
But, i will be needing a male as i dont have any hindu kush seeds left and need some back. so that could be good.

They are not femed seeds,

I'd leave 'em together until they show, pluck males, then keep the pairs together in lg.containers (50gal.rubbermaid trashcan hacked off about 2' high with beaucoup draiage/air holes is my new fav.). train them apart so you can get sunlight on every possible inch.

yeah i would deff do that you can use clear plastic tubs or even clear plastic cups on top for domes... I have cloned outside and it works ok, better inside though.. how long are your shoots?

alright I would suggest getting a big 30 gallon plastic tub poking holes in the bottom then placing a clear lid on it with the clones inside,, fill the lower part with about 4 inches of good soil perilite and vermicalite if possible.. then go back two weeks later and transplant them carefully once rooted then you start over with all new plants are you using two litter coke bottles?

cloning males does suck but hey wouldnt you rather take a chance and a bunch of milfs:hump:

Hey Zealand, are you a kiwi (me too if you are!) If you're planning on doing the cloning just to discover sex, an easier way might be to block light to a branch or two while still on the plant. This will likely be quicker as well as you won't have to wait for clones to root. Explanation in FAQ: GROWFAQ
Good luck with the grow.

yeah but I have 99% success rate with clones and rooting doesnt take that long and if your outdoors i well still flower close to the same time

Hey Celestial, yeah im a kiwi, but in Europe for a year, and arrived just before spring here, so thought Why not, haaaa. And i want some seeds to take home!!
I will look into that link you got, cher,
And are you in nz?

Or how about this......
If there were 2 containers the same size, 1 had 1 female and the other had 2 females in, would they give of the same amount of bud approx per container.

Yeah i am using 2 liter sprite bottles, the straight ones not the ones with the kink half way down, i packed the soil nicely so when it came to transplant the soil wouldnt crumble.
Im after quality not quantity as a month after harvest Im of overseas. And maybee a few seeds. I will use the Videoman40's technique to pollinate.
