2' plants first leaves

My 1 week old plants are 2.5' tall now with their first leaves, how high should the tip of the plant be from the light ????

it depends, if your using incandescent then like 6 inch to prevent burning, if using florescent then like 3 or 4 inches. Hope it helps.

i use incndescents... 2800 watts of em REPRESENT!

CFL/t8/t5/12 = 2-3 inches away
HPS/MH = 12-24 inches away. better to start off further and get closer slowly than to get it to close and burn it.
LED = touching the plant lol, maybe not touching, but almost that close

I think he meant 2 inches not 2 feet. If your plants are two feet at this point, you may as well just start over. What kind of lights are you using?

if that thing is 2 feet then start staking it up and prepare for a long ride with your 15 foot tall plant lol.
