2 ounces a plant is my goal for my next grow. I plan on using a 400w and 600w HPS with all my babies in 5gal pots filled with Foxfarm ocean Forest.
I will be using AN 3 part grow/micro/bloom and Big Bud (plus anything else i can grab while the plants are vegging).
Strains are Nirvana's Aurora Indica, Blackjack and chrystal. I hear Aurora Indica and chrystal have the potential to really pack on weight and i dont know much (yeild wise) about the blackjack.
I have been planning on letting them veg for a big longer than usual, maybe till ~2 ft tall... maybe a little taller before flowering which would have me set up for 4-6 foot tall plants.
I am seeking any tips anyone can give to make life a little easier.
Specifically I have been a little worried about light penetration. I know with my 400w my 2-1/2 foot tall plants (which are just finishing up
) the light was significantly weaker at the bottom (duh) causing me to chop the top half of my plants and then the bottom later(doing this part later this week). With the 600w what kind of solid light penetration should I expect?
Any pics of a plant that yielded ~2oz would be nice too, to see what i should be shooting for.
+rep, thanks!
