cant really tell from the pics but they look brownish not white...
and that may be due to using too many nutes perhaps, or heat stress, water stress,

check out the faq page it might help you

could it be from when i had the foil all around my grow box...took it out cause some one said it causes hot spots...if it is from heat stress how do i fix it just move the lights up...or...

that could have caused it, good you got rid of it.
what lights are you using? because if its an hps you could try moving it furtehr away from your plants

To me that for sure looks like a heat burn, most likely caused from a hot spot.

Check out different reflective material n with cfls lghts should be close to plants. Mine are surrounded! And doing great healthy ak48!

im using super thrive 1 drop per gl.with peterson plant food ....a stem streghtener from a friend cant remeber the name and peterson leaf feeder.plants should have mag and zn right??

Fe (iron) not Zn (Zinc), just to make sure we're on the same pg.

Stem Strengthener: Without knowing the product I can't determine if there are trace minerals

Super Thrive- The packaging does not claim to have any N-P-K (macro-nutrient fertilizer) or trace minerals. It contains ".09% Vitamin B1, .048% 1-Napthyl acetic acid",[1] with a total of dissolved solids of approximately 25%, which, according to some labeling, may include some 50 compounds of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen normally produced by plants under ideal conditions and time.

Peterson Plant food- I only found Peter's plant food which states that it contains some Mag but no mention of any other minerals.

It can be very hard to diagnose SOME plant problems. All I can do is give you my opinion and provide the sources to help YOU determine the problem. Here's a couple more websites with pics that may help:

Quote: can i move my lights closer can anybody see them enough to tell?

Until you turn on the lights in the middle I would resituate the pots so the plant has both of the "ON" lights directly above it. I keep mine within 2-3 inches of the bulb( I use a 125watt CFL).
