What's up RIU

First real grow, I have 2 girls growing in 1 pot, finished vegging and now on day 5 of flower -- wondering what should I do with these plants? I've tried my best to LST what I can but I can't LST in all directions since there is 2 plants in there, would hate to loose potential yield due to loss of light.

Is there anything I can do, perhaps trim leaves or something or should I just do my best to tie everything down and let it do it's thing?

should be very interesting watching 2 in 1 pot finish. Guess we will see if it effects either plant or yield. keep posting.

Will do! I read a of posts advising against growing more than one plant in the pot due to tangling roots, having them fight for food ect -- but Plants grow together in the wild all the time, figured it can't be that bad so here is the experiment, lol

wish you had all cones 2 in a pot and 1 in a pot by itself. Then we can monitor same plant vs 2 in pot. I see your point but in nature they are not fighting over 1 pot.

I might clone this one, that would be a nice experiment I'll see what's up

Any suggestions on if I should trim a few leaves off?

I would probably just let them fight it out from here on. I am on my first indoor grow, so don't take anything I say for gospel, but I think it's worth letting them go just to see what happens. It looks like you have potential for a good quantity of smoke with what you have as it is.

I really think it's worth it to experiment a bit in the beginning to find out what works best for you.

If you think you have enough light, go ahead and leave them.
If later on, you decide your bottom isn't getting enough light, then you can trim, tie, LST or add more lights around the side down low.

Agreed.
In nature, they can always spread outwards more.
It really would have been neat to have 2 pots side by side as you say.

Are there specific leaves I shouldn't trim? I recently read that certain leaves regulate sugar in the plant while others only act to obtain light, what's the difference if any?

thanks in advance

no. dont trim any good leaves at this point. Way on down the road when buds appear it will depend if you cant move branches around to get light to the lower developing buds will you decide when and how much to take off. Id rather use string loosely tied to branches moving them for height and light best penetration practices. You want as big bushey a girl as you can get. YOu should take clones from the tops so they will multi.ply. The thing about topping is to give em 7-10 days growth before flowering starts.

I'm already 5 days into flowering I guess topping off the clones would be a bad idea right now, I'm going to maintain it by keeping it tied down loosely as you said, might alternate a few bulbs out for higher wattage as well
