Hey,

I was watching videos on youtube and I saw someone taking a cutting from a rose bush. Most videos I have seen just take it from the end of the branch. So, I was wondering..

Can I take 2 cuttings from 1 branch?
If I can would there be any reason not to?
Has anyone ever tried?

Something like this..

it is possible to take 2 cuttings from 1 branch. The issue is the first cutting, with the terminal bud, will continue to grow as normal. One terminal bud with lateral branches. The second, lower cutting closer to the main trunk, will sprout 2 lateral branches that will fight to become the terminal bud. I.E., The lower cutting will be as if you topped a grown plant and 2 new shoots grow from that point.
Not a real issue but the lower cutting will become more bushy
