It seems like there's something wrong with some of the leaves, 1 of them look really bent? and some of them have some white/yellow stuff on them but that might be because i watered the actually leaves accidentally a couple times..

when do you guys think i should switch up my lights? i'm usin 2 cfl 2700's, whats the next type of lights i need?

the 2700s are actually used in flowering, 6500ks are for veg.

Keep it up dude! =)

yea i was using the 2700's for the seedling stage and never changed them..
how much are 6500's and could i get them at home depot?

deff good advice above switch them bulbs out or just get some 6500k's cus mixed spectrum wont hurt!! and if anyway possible you may want to get the bulbs a lil closer to the baby!! =) well happy grows it =)

PEACE SMOKE =ONE

you can deff get them at home depot for me it was easier and cheaper to get them at walmart or target but yea home depot has them but they are a lil overpriced. your lookin for a 100 or 150 wat equiv and it should be 40-42 actual watts with 6500k there anywhere between 6-12 bucks depending. lata

thanks for the advice, im gonna go out tonight or tomorrow night and get some
will 2 of those 42w cfls do good?

thanks :D

well like most growers will tell you more light the better =) so if you got some change to pick up a few more the better!! =) but two will be fine for the time being fo sho!!! =)

you will need more light yes.......but if you pick up 2 42watt 6500k and keep the 2 2700k you got already you should be fine for a while btu you will need more eventually

If you pick up 2 pack of 26 watt bulbs and a Y connector, it will be the same price as a 42 watt bulb.

Same price gets you either 3400 lumens or 2700 lumens.

It's your choice but if you have the space I say go for the 2 pack.

would home depot or canadian tire sell y-connectors? I might just go to canadian tire cause they have 23 or 26 watt 6500k bulbs

Yo dude, take those pics off imageshack. It's unsafe to post pics of weed and shit there, or so i hear. In any case, better be safe than sorry. Post all pics of your grow on RIU instead. Just a friendly word of advice. As for the plant, it's lookin good, you can grow with 2700K's but yeah as someone above me mentioned, 6500K's for veg, or even mix up the spectrums, it's supposed to be better. How many watt's you got in there?

^^ok thanks, i dont know how to put pics up on riu though?
i just got some 26w 6500k lights and a y connector, i will use those 2 and 1 2700k light for my plant from now on..im gonna transplant very soon
pics will be up soon :D

and in that picture both lights were 23 cfl watts aka 200 wats on a regular bulb..

Home depot has the daylight (5500K) bulbs was the highest I could find but it is OK. Pick up the connectors there too or at Lowes. Walmart doesn't carry the higher color temp. bulbs. Best would be 4 of those daylight cfl for now.

ok so i got the lights today..it seems the y-socket doesnt work with the clip on lamp i got from ikea, so i decided to just hook it up to the 10 year old basketball lamp. Anyone know why? i'm thinking the ikea lamp cant take as many watts...
Right now i got 2 26w cfl 6500k lights and 1 23w cfl 2700k light..anything i should change? and the lights seem to be getting real hot, even with the fan and im worried it might set the blanket on fire. what should i do?

so have the 2 new bulbs both facin the foil?

pretty much, or move your setup a lil' so your baby actually sees the light sources. Verry low risk of fire with CFLs since they give out verry low heat just dont press em up against anything and you'll be fine. Keep it up! :joint:

Ya, rotate your basketball lamp 90degrees. You have any exhaust fans in there?

i got a big fan outside the tank blowin down on it..but i dont think its gonna be enough, i cant find a fan that would fit in the grow area
