In a 5x5 I think that could work well...rotate the plants to get the best of both worlds, or do a side by side...

Not if you want to grow big crops and big nugs. I would suggest 4 for the 5x5. Jeff might disagree but more light = more better. Not always but it works for a few of us. I really like 1 light per plant myself. The 600 and led sounds like a pretty interesting set-up. Check out PuffeNuffs red n white grow.

It's more than 3 and less than 4...take your pick.
The 190 covers a 3x3 well...But when you are talking 1000w hps performance it is only a 2X3 at best. it was designed to replace a 400hps and possible a 600(conditions, style, and area are the key for this).
With hps in a 5x5 it's either (4)400 (2)600hps, or (1)1000hps.
5x5(even 4x4) is bigger than most people think. And the amount of light necessary to meet the plants requirement over that whole area is higher than most think too.
A 3x3 is the max it will cover(comparable to 400hps) and that's just 9sqft...a 4x4(16sqft) is almost 2X more...and a 5x5(25sqft) is almost 3x more space.

Yeah your all right, and definitely answered the question better
5x5 is a much larger space than it sounds, I wasn't thinking of using the entire 5x5 footprint, maybe 4x4 of plants in my head...
I would love to put 4 of em in 5x5 as more light is always better, but the price tag of that would deter me atm
My plan for the next year is 3 in a 4x4 , So i'm jumping along the crazy train soon lol
