2 150w hps?

wassup erybody, theres prolly a thread out there dealing with this subject but ive been looking and have found nothing. so fuck it ima ask again if there is. my grow room is 3 3/4 feet w, 4ft L, 4 1/2 ft H. i have 8 23 watt cfl lights going and the temp is at 75 degrees 50% humidity.
i am debating to wether i should get two econolight 150 hps lights and cool tube both of them and wire up ducts to connect to the exhaust. i know you guys are going to say im dumb and should just get a 400w hps but hear me out...

2 econolights= 60 bucks
ducting+fan=40 bucks
2 pyrex glass pieces=20 bucks

400w hps light...150 shipped from htg supply

and another question is how many amps exactly would two 150w hps lights be? i was thinking around 6amps..

thats what i was thinkin! but i cant:(. limited on room. they are going to be side by side and the duct will connect right before the exhaust.
 
that what i looked at but didnt know they were that long. goodlooking bro. o can i ask how many amps your using with that light set up? i have a 15 amp breaker that i spliced into for my grow room and dont want to put too many amps on it.
 
so just to get this right. i am going to need to rewire both econo-lights to their ballast with cord, then attach an extension cord each to the ballast and im set right? all you 150 e-conolight users let me know if thats right, and if i can improve on my idea in any way
 
yeah just buy 2 extension cords..one 2 prong and one 3 prong...when you remote the ballast just make sure you keep black with black, and white with white.
 
watts/volts=amps so 150 is just a couple amps like 1.5 ? i dunno dont have calc in front of me, or to lazy any how.
 
yup thats why i said thy do the job. but if you do a side by side theres no camparison. and thats all it is to find amps? thats easy. and im probably going to need to get a oretty strong ducting exhaust fan because of the small space huh?

what light is it in the econolight site you are talking about? there is 2 150 hps lights. i was looking into doing the same thing. have you made the setup yet?

your not necessarily buying it for the light but try and find a ballast that cheap.
also i havent assembled mine yet, th parts ill be in by wednesday hopefully. the diy thread i will be using is...

its super easy
 
so one more question if you guys can asnwer. will 200 watt hps lights fit in there after these 150's go out? i was not sure and its easier to ask some one who has already tried this or knows because they know shit about the ballast.
