Already here. New Vansterdam in Vancouver WA has Oz's of many strains for $60. That's $2.14 a gram. It might not be the best but good enough for a good portion of cannabis users to just go and buy it. Some are listed at around 20% thc. I question the accuracy of thc content for anything bought at a dispensary because they provide a small sample of only the best of the harvest.
I know several people trying to sell their grow equipment because they would rather just go buy it because it's so inexpensive rather than grow it. They were not very good at it anyway so anything they buy at the dispensary is better than what they grew. I tried to help them but they were getting all their advice from a friend of a friend that grew the best weed in the world.

Pretty much the same in a hell of a lot of countries, even when you have systems like Belgium and so on which are designed so there cannot be a single party with a majority in Government. The UK is effectively a two party country like the USA, this bit of Belgium I live in will be "Liberal" until the end of the world, political preferences tend to get passed down over generations with people in the present day voting how their father, grandfather and great-grandfather voted.
I'm an aberration there, my father was a true blooded Socialist always ranting about "them rich bastards" (i.e. anyone with more wealth than us) but always happy to show off the new things we would get so we would look better than our neighbours. I'm the opposite, slightly right of centre, believing in small government, personal responsibility, low taxation but the efficient use of the revenue and, especially, ridding any and every country of spurious, unreasonable, levels of Government which swallows revenue into a black hole filled with failed politicians (The UK, as an example, has 4 or 5 levels of government, not including the EU, Belgium has 5 or 6. Could you imagine the chaos and waste if somewhere like, say, Tennessee had 6 layers of Government from State to Local level? That's what we have here.).
Bottom line is that no matter where you are, outside of dictatorships, only a small number of "floating" voters makes the difference in an election as the majority of people have already made their mind up LONG before the election and nothing will change that.
I thought I'd keep it polite.
But it's true.
Look at the political voting history of most "westernised" countries and you will see patterns, especially in poorer inner cities where the Left generally get the vote and the "slightly to the right" get the vote in the more affluent suburbs.
Occasionally there is an aberration, but it generally holds true.

Id like to see the math breakdown on that. That brings us to 7 a oz, and 112 a lb. We have to be really close to the electric bill at this point, then the costs of whatever hydroponic system or dirt and containers are being used. And im assuming we are talking led so theres that upfront cost that needs delt with. I just dont really see it at that price, but i would like to see your breakdown.
Then Id like to see it further broke down to $$ per week after expenses. I think we should use a average yield at the top value ill let you decide, i think most people are pulling between a few oz an a few lb, please adjust equipment and running costs to reflect your yield number.
If it is possible to make money at such rates i think its moved to industrial scale and the quality will take a hit as they need to pull 1000 lbs + just to make any money

This is the only reason I'm going to be sad when it legalizes here. Even tho I am surrounded my legalized states, prices are still high here.

And people pay it without blinking and it's always in high demand.
I recently priced my grow costs at around 70$ a plant. But that is over 4 pounds a plant. So all in all that is pretty good.

holy hell. I popped into your thread the other day, you got them in 400 gallons, right? That is not a bad cost all things considered! your grow looks awesome by the way.

and thanks. All the soil with some to spare was only 300 tho... and nutes were around 260. All in all my costs are not high. Works out well

yup...they dropped the 3 feet (1 meter) height restriction....but remember the fucking senate pushed back the bill with 40 amendments to which the government has only accepted some and is pushing back........so we won't know what we get until the fat lady sings
There are now a ridiculous amount of pot shops in downtown Vancouver, don't know how they all will last. I had a friend buy an ounce from one of the most established stores for only $100, and it was decent pot...so prices are dropping big time

Some of the Senate amendments make a lot of sense. For example, in the current Bill, if a parent lets their 17-year-old have a couple tokes off their joint, the parent goes to jail. The Senate pushed back on this, saying it should be more like alcohol regarding parental sharing.
