1st Time One Plant

Hey guys,

I'm a first time grower and got my one and only baby from a bag. She is about 5 weeks old. And the following are her living conditions:

Potting Miracle Grow
Fert. - 15-30-15
Feed when dry
(2) 23 watt Cfls @ 18 inches away
Clipped @ 5th node.
Gets 12/12 of light
Alot of fresh air

My question is....Should I be doing something different? i.e. trimmer her, super cropping, boost up her fert?

Personally I would run 18/6 for veg until it's at least one foot tall.

Fluorescents are very cool lights, and they should be placed 2-4 inches away from the apex of your plant, because they run low heat and intensity, your plant needs everything the light has to offer. 18 inches is the minimum distance that one should place a HID lamp to a canopy, because they emit much heat.

welcome to RIU @Heavenly Green
nice job so far. if she's in MG potting soil, i wouldn't be feeding her-just water. your top looks good, almost like a FIM, but she's growing out nicely. you're going to need more lights soon-look into a T5 system before you start spending a lot of money on the many CFLs you'll need. good luck on the grow.

@DesertG. I had her on an 18/6 but she was growing slow. Once it went to 12/12 then she started to grow. Butt I'll try to put her back onto an 18/6 schedule and she how she's doing.

Thanks

Sure, but once you have her in 12/12, there is no turning back. Just leave it and see how that pans out, should be fine Good luck!
