Hey Juat wanted to start one of these. cool site.
Anyway have my set up started. Going Hydro system.
i have a stand thats pushed against a wall that will have that flamuar reflective sheeting. and the door and walls are painted white.
Im putting in an exhuast up top. Thinking A CP fan will work.
and also runnin a intake air with a cp fan towards botton of setup.
Trying to decided what light system to go with,
400watts or 600 watts.
Also i talked with a few growersand they used 1 light the hole way thru.
i been ready alot about using 2 lights 1 for veg 1 for flowering. but chould i use the metalihyde all the way thru? i know it works. personaly buddy grew several batches with..1 light.
anty way.. Please let me know what ya think. i will have pics up after a while

I'd go with as many watts as possible as long as heat doesn't become an issue. They now make digital conversion ballest that allow you to use both spectrums HPS and MH. They also have the dimmer option to control your wattage to match your bulb. So, if your not set on one thing, these are a couple options you have in 2010. Magnetic ballest are out...you should atleast get yourself digital ballast. They give your bulbs a longer life, have a better start up, cheaper to run (so they say)...exc...

you ll need to hit you local grow shop or find a good place online. if i was you i would go two 600 over two 400 if both were for flowering room. 600 might be to much for the veg room but maybe not.

Ok im ready to get my lights, i really need to know which lights ppl recomend. looking at going 600 watts with Both Bulbs.

aight have the seeds germinating.
put in wet paper towel in side of baggie Feb,24
moving to 16 oz. plastic cups with potting soil

i dont know though...i know u can use just MH bulb but i wonder if i can buy that lamp and just buy a HPS bulb..i dunno.. also
i have a start box made for the cups to go to.. 30gal tub.lined with reflectient. 4 100wtt cfls. need to do somethin with heat though tested and was runnin around 98. i be abck later

and btw i just switched them 2 12/12 to see if i could in fact force flowering..i have read all kinds of stuff..some ppl sayin u can some sayin u cant. time will tell.. as u see these are just lil over a month old. no sign of male or female yet. i dont think. plus i need to scrap these babies soon for my own reasons but will have more comin back.. bso please give me anyfeed back so when i start my next grow it wont have any mistakes.=)
