Latest video journal entry...

- discussing some temp/humidity issues I started having with the photoperiod White Widows
- some measures I take to try to prevent my fear of bug infestations (and some things I'm doing to tempt fate :p)
- started light nuts on the girls 14 days from seed
- update on all the girls
- I think I forgot to mention in video that I have started germinating another 8 White Widow photos to keep the perpetual grow going

I'll post some pics tomorrow

Cheers

Crop King Seeds and Medical Marijuana do not go in the same sentence. They are known as CRAP Kings because their seeds are garbage.

Thx for the reply. Being my first grow, I have been trying out several seedbanks. My White Widows were ordered from Crop Kings but my Auto Purple Kush and Auto Pineapple Express were ordered through True North Seed bank (they were supplied by Bhuddha Seeds and G13 Labs respectively) and I'm waiting for my Purple Kush photoperiod seeds from Dinafem. I've been rating them to this point on their service (speed of receiving the seeds, quality of packaging, support, etc.). Fortunately I haven't had to use any of these seedbank's customer service cause the process of ordering to delivery to germinating/planting has been as expected (prob above expectations of all of them if I'm being honest).

Here's my question though...I can def understand that the genetics of a strain can depend heavily on breeder/supplier/where they're bought, but can the quality of the medicine not be impacted by the quality of the overall grow? Or is the end result doomed to never be medical grade no matter how well its grown just cause of the supplier/breeder? I only ask cause like I said, I have zero experience with any of these seedbanks when it comes to growing out their seeds straight through to medication but so far, the phenos (and I get that I'm early days into my grow) appear to be doing great, especially with my White Widows from Crop Kings (I do have 2 freebie White Widow seeds from True North Seedbank that I was going to do a side by side grow with the Crop King White Widows :p). The only issues I've had so far are a couple runty girls with the autos but I feel that's to be expected from time to time. It's important to me to know the answer to this cause if I'm going to be keeping one of these photos as a mother, I wanna know if I'm going to be growing poor quality medicine no matter what I do to grow it because I purchased it from Crop King Seeds (or any other seedbank supplier that is deemed poor quality).

Cheers

Crop Kings don’t even breed their own seeds. They buy bulk and repackage/ rebrand them. They are junk. Genetics plays a HUGE part in quality of the end product. Don’t waste another penny on Crop Kings

Because I was not transplanting and planting straight to the final pot from germ, I didn't want to soak the whole pot. I did learn that I was leaving it too dry and now know to definitely use more water during the initial seed to dirt process in the future if I continue to plant straight to the final pot

I'm def not "married" to any one seedbank right now. In your experience which ones should I try in the future for solid genetics and phenos?

It’s not necessarily the seedbank, it’s the breeder that you’re buying from the seedbank. 3 well respected seedbanks that I know of are Great Lakes Genetics, James Bean Company and SeedsHereNow. They are in the USA but they all have great stealth shipping and sell legit breeder stock.
Breeders I’d be looking at are Bodhi Seeds, Strayfox Gardenz and Doc D Seeds. Fire genetics at reasonable prices!

First LST training ever and I managed not to hurt/damage either of the 2 girls I've started on. Here r some pics. I'd love to hear what u guys think of my 1st attempts here...be brutally honest, I got thick skin :p I'm trying to train these girls (my autos that is) in a circular pattern by bending and tying down in attempts to get as many main colas as I can. I will continue to tie down the main stem and its shoots till they start flowering, then I'll just be defoliating and making sure that the colas r spaced out sufficiently. I wanna start as early as possible so the stems r easier to bend but these r the only 2 girls (15 days from seed) that r tall enough to do it with. I think another 2 might be ready in 2 or 3 days. I am wondering if you guys think I'll have trouble with the fan leaf on each plant that is touching the soil right now (see pics)? I didn't think so cause I expect the stem to start to turn up, but pls let me know if I'm wrong about that. Thx

Cheers

So I did it  I broke my first stem :frown: got a little ambitious with my training and saw the main stem start to break. It wasn't a clean break, just about a quarter split. I don't have any pics of the split but I do have a couple pics of my attempt at fixing it...
20180812_221124.jpg 20180812_221130.jpg

A few questions:

- did I do an ok job or does my fix need fixing?
- will I need to remove the tape at some point to allow the branch to grow?
- how long before I can resume training?

Thx for any advice anyone can give me

And we're back with an update video :) I feel that a lots going on and wanted to give an update before a bunch more changes to the garden take place over the next few days. Here's what we talk about in this update:

- status of the first 3 Purple Kush autoflowers we LST trained and show how they're doing (including the one I snapped :( )
- quick visual update on the Pineapple Express autos
- over all update of all White Widow photoperiod plants (now 19 potted plants)
- discuss and show in detail the status of the 6 White Widow photos that are 18 days from seed and will be mainlined/manifolded (1st steps anyways) in the next day or two

Hope you enjoy! Please share your thoughts :) I will also try to post pics tomorrow

What's up all! In this video journal update I focus on the autoflowers my grow. A lots been going on. The girls have been maturing nicely and I've started as early as I could to LST train them so we can get many coloas and max yield. Most of the training with these autos has been awesome but I did have some drama :( I also give a sneak peak at the newest addition to my grow :) I hope you enjoy

Hi friends, I was hoping to get some of ur expert feedback on a couple of potential issues i may be having with 2 of my girls.

The first is some tiny yellow spots (pics below) i found on one of my White Widow photoperiod plants when I came into the tent today when the lights came back on. They were not there yesterday and appear to only be on the fan leaves of this plant. I mainlined the plant yesterday. There does not appear to be any bugs un the underside of the leaves and I don't see any on the top side. Finally, there are 19 plants in the same 5x5 tent and this is the only plant (so far) that I see this issue on.

20180817_181141.jpg 20180817_181154.jpg 20180817_181207.jpg

The other issue is with one of the Purple Kush Autoflower plants that I have been training. It is also signs of problems on the leaves of the plant. What I noticed here were some "chunks" on the leaves seem to have been deteriorated or possibly eaten off (pics below)? Again, I don't see any visible bugs on or under the leaves and currently it only appears to be on 3 small leaves. I will be receiving a jeweler's loop in the next couple days so I can examine the leaves closer for potential critters not visible to the naked eye. Again, this is the only plant in a 5x5 tent of 16 autos that r exhibiting this issue.

Thx in advance for any insight anyone can give me on what I might be dealing with here

Cheers

Update of the autoflowers in my grow :) Detailed look at all the LST training I've done, the successes and mistakes made. A good look at the canopy I'm building with these girls and how its slowly coming along...
