ok i set up a dwc hydro system, i have a 400 watt hps ( boy do these things burn hot, ) and a rubbermade closet that i turned into a grow box. I have a fan running clean air from outside the box into the box, and i have a fan at the top of the box exhausting hot air out of the top ( i figured hot air would rise so i put it at the top ) ok my main concern is smell, im only doing a little 6 plant lowryder grow for the winter while its hard to get bud and i want to conceal smell at my best. here are my ideas to conceal the smell so far.
1. place potpourri at the top of the exhaust fan to blow and activate the potpourri and create a decent smell.
2. if it gets bad enough ill take scent zapper that hunters use to mask the human smell from deer ( it smells like natural dirt ) and spray it all over the box.
3. Ive heard about carbon filters. the room im growing in has poor ventilation to the outside world ( no windows, vents, anything ) so if somehow i got one of these carbon filters and taped it around the bottom of the box that i have the exhaust fan installed into wouldnt the exhaust fan pull the air across the filter and clean the air or something? anyone think this could help at all? any information you guys can throw me about carbon filters will help. im about to read the faq and see about filters.
