Long time since ive been on RIU. Starting my 1st serious grow. Poor so piecing together as I go. Just got light today.
Viparspectra 1200. Started these seeds 12/16 in jiffy mix under 4 foot daylight fluoro t8.
Can't get soil / pots till weekend. Having some spots on lower leaves. Believe its Ca deficientcy..switched from tap to RO for a bit.and I think jiffy mix has no nutrition..correct me if wrong.

Going to be piecing this thing together 20190108_000010.jpg 20190108_000010.jpg 20190108_000020.jpg as I go. Hoping to do my best lol... Oh yea. blueberry OG bagseed.

looks good. im hoping when i swap over to my king plus 2000 it doesn't stunt my plants. i think with my flowering plants it stunted them in veg. went from a cheap 75W light which im using for my seeds right now to the kings. then when i toss the plants outside the sunlight is even too much for them lol they begin to perk up so much

Sorry I never actually took a pic of the damage. I will tommorow.

When I put the light up I took it too low too quick and saw they were cowering from the light so i raised it up and moved em to the edge to recover some. They're happy again. Smaller ones a little more droopy tho.

Transplanted today. 3gal pots. Ocean Forest. Would have been easier to take pics of the leaf damage before transplant..hooked up the fluro to get some good pics of it.

looking good. my plants did well under the king plus swapped um after a day of sprouting i believe. sadly the plants got mauled to shit by my cat but they are going beast mode regardless

Sorry to hear about ur cat. I had a cat that loved to eat weed plants a long time ago lol.
You put your sprout under the king? How did it react? I have 3 sprouts under the floro right now.

forgot to ask how the twine is working out for your LST im trying to find something else to use to get a super tight hold on my plants without digging into them. last time i used some cheap ass copper plated wire. i can buy the garden wire though should be okay but really hard to get a super tight hold in general using fabric pots. any tips?

they didn't care i put it too high 50 inches to be exact for a few days so they got super leggy forgot to drop them down dropped em to 18 inches they do just fine. im testing my grow with all types of new things. new media, new pots, not nutrient line, even added a co2 bag shit is going crazy compared to my previous grows though

I'm using some craft yarn that was laying around when I was cleaning out the room. Its very soft. I just gently tied it around. Kind of in a slipknot. Will probably have to be re done as stem thickens..idk I gotta get something because theres gonna be a lot more branches .

Saw a neat product on youtube last night. Its called lst tops. Its a thing that goes on ur pot with elasticish loops all around you can use to train. Worth looking up. Im thinking about it.

Awesome I still need to get an exhaust. I just open when I can and exchange some air that way check temps n humidity.

Avg 73-75 30 -35% humidity with lights on

yea i've seen the guy on youtube using them. i think his user name is "grow 420" some white hippie looking kid maybe mid 20's think he got sponsered by crop kings cause thats always in his ending credits. they look like a bad product though. good idea just not well rounded. it has only so many loops and 2 different sizes 1 long one and 1 short one. if they added more loops to it i think it only has like 6 total? idk then it would be a solid product but from the vid i saw it wasn't amazing your better off tying it down manually

Yup that's the one lol. Had same thoughts. I'll probably be using wtvr I run into that looks useful lol

yea im thinking of scroging but i don't have the space to get a really good scrog going with 3 plants so im guessing im just going to stick to lst and tie the shit out of the branches only so much width i can get out of 3 plants with 1 light before i have to go fully vertical. would love to run 2 lights but that is unrealistic for me right now.

-7 outside right now. Temp in grow 66! Hooked a small space heater outside tent vent..plugged it into extension cord w humidifier and made a weird timer schedule that hopefully works for humidity and keeping temps up but not too hot..only running a little at a time...sigh. Winter blows

Noticing some leaf issues..im think my tap water might be causing problems. Or pests? I'll be getting a supply of RO water asap.

Seeing shiny spots on leaves. Little streaks like a gnome nutted o n the plant and it dried up . I found a lady bug outside tent the other day and put it in there..thought maybe it was from her?...but they dont make slime like snails and slugs...

Also on one of the shiny patches, between margins theres actually some damage..like little gashes in leaf tissue.

Heres some pics

The issue is way more noticeable under the led light. I included non led pics as well.

Any ideas? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
